Black Americans were Treated horribly by our Government
We will get to issues at the time of the Founding but first I need to make a point - racism is very real and personal to many black Americans.
People in their family were openly discriminated against by federal, state and local governments very recently.
Woodrow Wilson re-segregates the federal workforce in 1913
the first movie shown in the White House is a racist KKK propaganda film screened by Wilson himself…because he loves the Klan whilst hating blacks, Jews, the handicapped, babies and Catholics.
Tulsa Race Massacre was in 1921
WW2 units were racially segregated
Jim Crow laws exist until the mid 1960s
Red Lining (an FDR policy) continues into the late 1960s.
John Lewis, currently a sitting member of Congress, was beaten by police in Selma, Alabama in 1965.
If you are an American Descendent of Slaves (ADOS) members of your family lived through all of the above.
As a reference - my dad was born in 1948. He was a teenager when a lot of this stuff went down.
His dad lived through all of it.
Same for his grandfather.
How much would you love America if your grandfather served in WW2 and returned home to face discrimination sponsored by the government he just fought for?
How much would you love America if your dad was denied a home loan because he was black?
Or if your grandpa got the crap kicked out of him by the KKK while the police looked the other way?
Probably not as much as you do today.
In 2024 Most White Americans Aren’t Racist
The media wants you to believe white dudes like me are walking around looking for blacks to harass.
100% false.
Here’s how the media on both sides of the aisle convince you otherwise:
Conservative influencers make racist statements to get attention.
The media picks up their BS to build a narrative then other influencers want some sweet race hustle money so they jump into the fray.
Influencers on both sides make money
America gets worse
Repeat forever
Here is my lived experience (lol)
I walk around with black people almost everyday of my life.
People have no clue I am their dad (how would they?).
Do you know how much racist stuff I hear? None.
And I live in Whitey McWhite Idaho.
Same was true in NorCal, Texas, New Hampshire and Maine.
In fact, the only racists I’ve dealt with were Progressives in the Foster Care system…who were black.
In Conclusion
Blacks were treated horribly by the government.
White people (for the most part) aren’t racist.
Black men and white men want the same thing - to live free.
If we unite, we can.
If we don’t…we all get Gulag.
Have a great day,
Kalian
